The restaurant on the first floor (not the rooftop bar) will supply you with a glass bottle that you can fill up with still or sparkling water to keep in your room. When I spoke with staff they were very friendly.
It was maybe an 8 minute walk to the Smithsonian museums and about a 15-20 minute walk to the Holocaust Museum. It’s a safe area and we felt comfortable walking. There’s two nearby metros but we didn’t even use it as everything was within walking distant. There are spots on the street but I might’ve saw one spot open up the whole time we were there so do not count on parking on the street.
We opted to park our car in the parking garage a few blocks away for $75 (it was maybe a 5 minute walk to the hotel). There is a parking garage right next to the hotel but for our stay it was a little on the expensive side ($175 for 4 days). We were able to see the capital building from our room.
'This hotel was amazing! Yes, they have an iPad that controls the lights, blinds, and TV but there are still switches and a TV remote in case the iPad crashes or if someone isn’t big on technology.
